What’s been happening:

I entered Penn State in September 1987 on a Fulbright Scholarship for a PhD Psychology. It was a difficult decision as I had to leave behind my husband and children in the Philippines. But with a good family support system back home, I took the leap. Two years later my family joined me while I was doing my dissertation. It seems so long ago now but it was an experience well worth it. With my PhD degree I later qualified to lead my institution as its Chancellor, and currently to continue to teach and do research. My sons who spent three years at State College as graders in Easterly Parkway have fond memories of Happy Valley, and are now themselves professionals. Thank you Penn State!
